 The tallest bull moose (6' tall at the shoulders) in Colorado, Alces alces shiras. This image shows their amazingly long legs. This Shiras moose is designed to be able to navigate deep snow drifts. Well adapted to the Rocky Mountains environment. Canon EOS 5DMarkIV, Canon EF400mm f/4 DO IS II USM, 1/2500s@f/4.0, ISO 1250, lens focal length 400mm., 09/29/17 4:56pm.

Alces alces giganticus in Alaska is taller and heavier.
