Unusual sky, with clouds I don't recognize. Probably a function of distant fires (California). But, also a danger sign of Red Flag weather in Colorado. This image captured from Moraine Park, RMNP, looking SE towards Twin Sisters. We tend to be complacent since we have had snow recently. However, it doesn't take long for windy conditions with low humidity to create conditions for a wildland fire. 10/13/17 11:13am. Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, Canon EF24-105mm f/4L IS II USM, 1/800s@f/8.0, ISO 100, lens focal length 70mm.

"Learning To Fly"

Well I started out down a dirty road
Started out all alone
And the sun went down as I crossed the hill
And the town lit up, the world got still

[Chorus:]
I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing

Well the good ol' days may not return
And the rocks might melt and the sea may burn

[Chorus]

Well some say life will beat you down
Break your heart, steal your crown
So I've started out for God knows where
I guess I'll know when I get there

I'm learning to fly, around the clouds
But what goes up must come down

Richard, that is a fabulous sky! Unfortunate that this was an extended editing challenge, because the fact that it was an amazing natural phenomenon got lost amidst the possibility, or perceived probability, that it was created.
