Well I'm not personally a huge fan of the effect here - I think it would likely work better in colour, but there were not 617 better pictures in this challenge.

A 3.6 average is comical... hopefully it gave you a laugh.

I just left a comment in the forums on this image. I'll repeat it here:

"I see a uniqueness in this image. I also see a wonderful example of simplicity. There is not much to look at, It's easy on the eyes, and mind. I also did not vote on this challenge, but i would have rated it very high."

I think this is a wonderful image, and i'm really disapointed it was rated so low.

This is perhaps to much strain for the artistic tolerance of the general public?

I like it, good tones and strong minimalistic composition.

Yuk
Returning for comments. After going through all the photos in this challenge, this one is my choice for the Brown Ribbon. Better luck next time.

This is beautiful. One of rare cases when it doesnt seem as wrong taken. Good luck.

This is horrible, all blurry and fuzzy. I just don't know why you took this! (kidding)
Actually, I think:
This is a fresh image. Lovely use of motion and blur, but not overused to an extreme where the image is unrecognizable. Lighting is lovely. Great job.

Is it a reflection? If so very cool. If not, kinda blurry.

Assuming the "Basic Editing ONly" rules were applied here, this is really very good B&W photo-impressionism. 8. Good luck!

Interesting use of soft focus/ motion blur. My only criticism is that the only real interesting part of this image is the flower on the right and the vertical lines of the other stems separate the image to one part that is interesting and into another that does not necessarily add to the image. I like the originality. 7
