 A very curious baby American Alligator (Alligator Mississippiensis) swims towards me after I lay down at the edge of water that him and his siblings call home at Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, Texas, USA.

This photo used the 1.4x TC, which gave me an effective 840mm lens that I shot handheld.

Once again I am entering a photograph that has minimal editing. Still trying to beat my best finish of 12th in the extended free study.

An appealing image that contributes well to the extended challenge

Another great image Ronnie, great viewpoint. I love the shape of the alligator as it swims towards you, however, the distinct ripple in front of it is rather distracting which is unfortunate given such a lovely image as you have here. The shape on the right of the frame is especially detrimental to the overall result. I love the colours and distortions on the water surface, this together with the alligators features are tantalising. Good luck with your ambitious challenge, I'm confident you will get thereΓΆ€Β¦!
