Hue/Saturation, Quadtone, USM, Invert colours, Crop and Resize.
I can just see the top of this tower from my office and thought it had interesting potential.
However every lunchtime when I went for a walk, the sky was very washed out and light levels were low. I did take a few photos, and whilst I could get some contrast they did not inspire me.
Then working late one evening I saw the tower in the dark, hardly any lights were on, but the moon was shining on some of the concrete to give this negative effect.
It got me thinking, so the next day I went out and shot this image with the view of inverting it.
The original is in portrait and shows the whole tower, however I feel that there is more impact with this crop of the top few floors.

Wow, this is almost painful to look at - not because it's a bad photo, because the contrasts and patterns are so powerful. |

Whoa - this one's painful to look at for any length of time! The tilt / perspective is awkard for me - feels like the building is going to fall over. A more balanced frame would help a lot. |

I looked at this in the "non inverted view" and liked it more than this one. The inversion makes it appear blurred to me. However, it is different enough for me to score it well. |
