 This is a fun technique. I really should play with it more often.

PP - converted from RAW, tilted, cropped, levels, Topaz Texture Effects, desaturated bits of dog, shifted magenta to orange, dodged/burnt eye more, resized, Topaz Detail, hand-sharpened eye a little.

Congrats on the top 5. IMO you were robbed in the voting.

There were a number of interesting and technically proficient entries in this challenge but this shot not only represents the challenge but also stands up on it's own as a strong image. Capturing a moment.
