 It is looking a bit beaten up but I love this bird bath/basin both for its function and the birds it attracts, but also as it is a lovely reminder of time spent with some special colleagues who gave it to me as a retirement gift, quite a few years ago now.

PS When I can I remove the layers of ice and top the basin up with fresh water. But with this winter's temperatures that can feels like a futile task.

The pine needle that landed on the ice is just one of many that fall in great numbers this winter each time we get a storm.

Remember this visitor from last summer!!

I thought that this would do better, both for its beautiful textures and being a bit individual. 7 from me.
