 Bush fire a few kilometers from my house.

The image below was taken from up the road from my house less than an hour after it stared.



Fortunately, it slowly burned away from our community and with the great effort of the Rural Fire Services and others it was eventually contained without any loss of life or property.

We were on a high alert for a couple of days, which included my birthday. I really wanted to get out and take more shots but with our only road out potentially being blocked I decided it was best to keep myself and the car handy if the family needed to evacuate.

It was my wife who suggested we venture out very quickly that night to have a look and take a shot.
