Spend a wonderful sunny day at the "Top of Germany"!
It is the highest summit in the German part of the Alps with 2962 m (9718 ft)

Let's start with a ride with the cable car:

Nicely told story of a freezing cold sunny day up in the Alps. I liked the ice statues shots the best.

I enjoyed this collection immensely. For me, this is your most cohesive and compelling photo essay of place. I particularly enjoyed the frost and ice formations blanketing manmade structures. Zugspitze is obviously brutally cold but the natural beauty makes it worth the going.

I found the contrast between your essay and Mariuca̢۪s very interesting. You studied a subject that inspired looking out while Mariuca̢۪s subject encouraged looking in. It̢۪s wonderful to see these differences in subject and style when looking through this months essays.

Is this "the Sound of Music" area? I saw these mountains in summertime. Wonderful.
Beautifully presented. Amazing place and you did justice to it.

Oh, wow. That was just such a lovely essay to look through. Really enjoyable. It took me to another place-one which I have never experienced before-and did so very well. I love the shallow focus of the first image to take into things - very cleverly thought out, that. It kind of lulls you into a false sense of security before THE SCALE!. Excellent. Thanks for sharing that. I loved it. :)
