 The fountain marking the entry to Tracy from the west. I took this at 8:23 while the sun was coming up. Hand held with only UV filter on my lens.
Adjusted levels, Saturation, added crosshatch brush stroke of 3,5,1,cropped, and unsharp mask.

Invitational Challenge Level: Experienced

Challenge link: weak - medium. Due to filtered FX this shot no longer holds enough photographic integrity to prove its impressionistic quality. Image has been too heavily enhanced in post-processing.

Image critique: a good composition but very little to retain interest.

Out-of-challenge appeal: not much, other than to see whose this is!

A very modern looking take on the challenge. I like the colours, and the water looks like some nasty chemical mixture. Composition is also good. The only part I don't like is the ghostly looking spurt of water in the middle of the tiles.

Excellent crop and lines versus curves. Something about the surge in the left became too distracting to me - like you had any control of the water.... Very high marks!

A simple subject done in an extremely effective way. This looks more like a painting than most of the ebtries - I really hope it does well.

Flawless Impressionism, Great colors and feel. Hey it's even fun and ineresting to look at. 10 Definate best of show. I expecialy love the way the water ripples.

the water and the bubles are beautifull but i'm afraid the blue tiles are not helping the picture.. my opinion anyway .. good picture

this is lovely, very enjoyable. would have liked it even more if there had been just a little more water action. all the same, this really captures a mood and feeling for me. wonderful composition and colors. i'll give this at least a 7.
