Thanks for your helpful comment. So I was being too subtle and cutesy. The allegory is from 'The Music Man,' a 1950s era stage play (1960s movie). The fire was to be the slippery slope to "the gates of hell".
Trouble, oh we got trouble,
Right here in River City!
With a capital "T"
That rhymes with "P"
And that stands for Pool,
That stands for pool.
We've surely got trouble!
Right here in River City,
Right here!
Gotta figger out a way
To keep the young ones moral after school!
Trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble...

who doesn't want to play billiards in front of an open fireplace? Very inviting!
But since I'm no native English speaker I have difficulties in understanding what your allegory is. The subject is not self-explanatory. Also due to the low light there is also a great amount of "noise" which is a little bit distracting. |
