I didn't vote in this challenge, but I would have voted this one high. Nice detail and great choice of black and white. I love that the hand is dirty, a working mans hand. Nice shot. |

returning for comments:
A very effective, almost graphical representation. Great b/w and title. Bumping up. |

I am scoring this one high right off the bat for its immediate impact. I jumped a little when it came up! 8-| Good job. |

Good technique, but the subject has no appeal... I guess the composition could be a little more interesting as well. |

Dunno about the name. The focus is too far back. Sharpness is nice, and oil or whatever, to paint the fingers in good light. |

Very good...Like the Hi Key background and the detail and lighting on the subject. Could I get a thumbnail of this to send to the person who just gave me a 3? LOL! . |

The title just turned me off before I saw the pic (I must be a sick puppy). BUT I cant wait to see what you did to get the look. I do like the pic tho. |

Its too confined, you could box it in, a little movement, raise or lower the fist about an inch and keep the arm where it is, and it would be superb. |

Your hand has five fingers,
each capable of creating...
-Or destroying.
I hope we die holding hands, but it's hard to hold your hand
When it's a fist.
Anywho...This picture rocks! |

Beautiful light, tone and texture..well done for a high imapct shot in this challenge. but watch your titles: I nearly mis-read this one and couldn't sit down for a week. |

Very powerful - in every sense - just wish the focus wasn't ever so slightly soft close up. Hope you do well with this |

Is this a threat? lol. A little blown out at the bottom. Nice subject. Evocative. Nice texture. The subject sits in a nice rectangle that I think you could've broken to make the image more dynamic. |

Powerful. Great balance between foreground and background. Dark color of the skin makes one think that the hand is from a miner. |
