Not much to say here. I always wanted to shoot a flower looking up on its flip side. Might get slammed because we just finished shooting our best cliches (20% which were flowers, lol). That's OK I like the colours and the sharpness I was able to get. I could be pretty aggressive on the sharpening because I used Neat Image to reduce noise.

Hand held outside, natural light and blue sky. Store bought flowers because we have 3 feet of snow on the ground. Couldn't get the stem to be straight because it's actually a crop of two flowers.

Beautiful picture, Jacko. I see in your details that you did use Neat Image, but the noise in the sky is still there. Try to select the blue sky and analyze it, then use that to remove the noise.

I don't care if the cliche challenge is that recent, a well taken shot stands out anyway.

Beautiful flower, from a different angle. I like how it comes out of the corner. Colors are rich. I think it is a little bit over-sharpened, but it's not that noticeable. You could download an application called Neat Image that does an excellent job of filtering out the grain in the blue sky. Try it and you will see. And, it is allowed to use it in DPC. Good luck!

Proof that a "cliche" shot can be done well, and score high. (At least with me!)

This is very crisp. To me it's kind of too crisp and sharp. There isn't much feeling or artiistry to this photo. Very technically good with bright colours, and I'm sure a lot of people love it, but it leaves me cold.

This may be THE perfect flower picture. Very, very nice! Very nice details. Color and contrast are wonderful. Framing - I love it. Challenge - a tad weak, but totally acceptable (maybe a longer stem????) Very strong 9 Swash

Creative take on the challenge. There is always a way to squeeze a flower into every challenge, and this time you managed to do it. Crisp focus and very soothing bright blue sky. Great shot...9! - xertion

What a gorgeous photo!! The frame enhances it. Probably not the best illustration of perspective, although there is some perspective illustrated. 7

Love the color and sharpness, very impressive. prespective is a little weak...but still a strong photo. When shooting prespective in macro...prespective needs to be exstream in order to see it... dont get me wrong...its a lovely shot...nice job
it just IMO is not showing enough prespective...

Very nice and an interesting take on the challenge. Is it possible that it is a bit over-sharpened?
