needs a little bit more contrast, but a great shot nonetheless

I like it, a little kitsch but the one on the right looks posed (which I would be critical of if it wasnt for his friend) The juxtaposition of posed and unposed between them says alot, opposites attract and all that.

This has a very gentle and nostalgic feel. Good job.

Great candid photo, I like the genuine expressions. Maybe crop it a bit more at the top. 8.

Now that's a shot sure to embarrass those boys for years to come. The jackets in addition to the bw give this something of an archaic feel, but the lighting all wrong if that's your angle, but it's still real good capture.

A little more contrat and a lot less head room would have helped this photo a lot, in my opinion.

This is wonderful--I would have cropped the extra space at the top.

Nice tones, pose and clarity with the boys. I like negative space in it's place but I don't really see the use here. I suggest eventually cropping a lot of the top.

This is a nice portrait but I feel there is a little to much empty space above your subjects heads.

Cute, Looks like a early 40's photo. Would have taken better if the kids were wearing black

why all the excess space at the top of the picture?

although the colors look like they are right, the lack of black (or much white) lends the image to an overall gray look. still like it, but think it would be better if you could figure some more contrast/tonal range into it.
