This is one of a set of snapshots I took of my baby Emily at the park, about 3 in the afternoon.

Sweet. Love how you got down and shot up. The backlight is nice too. Wonderful!

Amazing avoidance of the stereotypical child shot. Good job.

I see the trade off you had to make. Sort of loose the curve of the top of her(?) head in the sky or stand up a bit to get it against the trees and loose this angle. Tought choice.

while not an outright breathtaking photo. This is still a very good photo. This is a very crisp shot. It hs decent lighting with the esception of the light that runs along the edge of the face. The child in the photo is smiling and having fun wich is always a plus. Definately above average in quality. Just not excitng IMO.Keep Up the good work.

Good portrait, but I think the sky is too bright. Perhaps you could have taken the shot from the other side.

I like this expression. Nice off screen expectation, good lighting. But the shot doesn't stand out to me for some reason.

Nice backlighting from (the sun?)

Cute kid, nice lighting on the cheek - shame about the sky. I think you could have lost some of the right side of the frame in favour of the left, what do you think?

Ahhhh...so sweet. Lovely photo and great subject. I think the photo itself would have benefited from more contrast. Love the look on the babie's face.

tough shot to nail in a basic editing challenge. the backlighting can be great, but you need something to get some light on her adorable little face, otherwise you end up over exposing (like this one) and lose valuable contrast. if it were advanced editing, you could have under exposed it some, and then dodged her face to bring it out of the shadows. before the fact, you likely could/should have used a reflector or fill flash and avoid the issue entirely. as it stands it's a great photo, that seems to need some contrast to make it less flat looking. if this was the look you were going for - ignore everything i said :)

Excellent portrait/candid. Everything is magnificant about this except the sky seems a little washed out, so much so that it overpowers the trees and their shape and form. I also would've taken the picture without the toy, but outside of that a good picture.
