Personally I'm not a fan of selective desaturation. I think either all color or all bw would be better.

Making it black and white with colour, it is not working. Making it BW but fading it would have worked better, it is just so out of sorts right now. you need that skin tone and water colour, even if it is a little but and then making the other colours you have pop.
