Personally, I agree the sun has authority over us but the image should illustrate the meaning. Air has authority over us, we all need it to live, but if you point the camera at nothing and submit a blurred blank picture is it going to go over well? You might title it "Air" and get some points. But that would be cleverly foolish.
The image would have significance, for example, if there was a person waking up stretching his arms as the sun was rising. Meaning is indecipherable without such visual cues.
It's a nice picture just undevelopped.

Personally this should have finished much higher. It's a disappointment how people overlook menaing in photos as they vote, leading to deeper ideas and great pictures being completely overlooked by the entire community.
The sun DOES have authoirty, over us. hen it sets, we are plunged into night. We can't control the sun. it controls us. It makes us sleep, it darkens the world, it controls our lives. THATS authority. |
