I can certainly see where LanceW is coming from. But in all honesty, until he mentioned it, I didn't really notice it too much. For me, it is not about how sharp it is but (now it is pointed out) I can see the white in the iris as a little bright. So makes it look super sharp, I did originally give it a 10, then came back and gave it a 9 and the only reason, was not in fact the eyes, but the chin area near the lower lips, it wasn't as sharp as the top lip line. But I tell you what, anyone would be darn proud to have that stunning portrait on proud display. Wish I had known you when my kid where babies!! |

Nice portrait, however, seems overprocessed and/or selectively sharpened/blurred. When it's obvious I lose interest. If the eyeball was that tach sharp even with a shallow aperture, so would the eyebrow so it is obvious you post processed this to the point it doesn't look real.
Great pose though. Would love to see the original |
