Well taken shot of this telephone pole. Challenge aspect - met. Contrast is O.K. Focus - better than O.K., but not super great. Interest - sorry, but low. 7 Swash |

Interesting lines, and nice textures on the pole. The composition is good. The Black and white has nice, rich dark tones but doesn't seem to go all the way up to the whites, making the photo a little too grey overall for my liking. I just tried playing with it, and with a lighter sky the pole stands out beautifully. Perhaps it's because my monitor is calibrated for the squares on the bottom of the voting page. |

I agree with the title, BUT where is a squirrel? There needs to be one so that the title is not the only thing saying so. The photo must be able to stand alone with the title and still reflect it. Am I just overlooking the squirrel? Trying to figure out your tone. It's not a black and white, nor is it a sepia tone. What ever it is supposed to be it also needs to be lighter. The composition is good and the focus is especially good, more on the soft side. It just needs to be lighter. |
