Greetings from the Critique Club!
Appropriate to Challenge (Plant = yes; B/W = yes) ... YES!! I love the contrast and how the darker colors are out of focus while the whites are detailed (not crisp - which i think really works). It's a very sci-fi effect. My crazy brain sees a landing pad just waiting for a spaceship to arrive. The tendrils then gently close and pull the ship down safely.
While the flower itself is centered the stem and leaves create leading lines form the edges that offer balance. Good eye! I don't have any constructive insights ... I would't change anything (well, except to try and get the spaceship in frame). Congrats on a top 10 finish. |
