I am taken by the juxtapositioning here: I feel that the weight of the red area, because it involves 3 things is more than it measures. Makes sense to me.

Quite a conundrum here and a very appealing one. 7 A great find and I believe that more horizontal space would have benefited it
On a side note about composition: you aspired to a golden mean but did not quite get it.
