 I am totally shocked this is even in the top 10. Bravo DPC for giving some abstract love. It's several layers of similar shots of...dried papyrus. The organic nature of it appeals to me.

A very fascinating image where one seeks subject resolution. It has an abstract flavor. Congrats on your 3rd placing.

Really fine image, Rachel. Congratulations on the yellow. The title is perfect. A visceral feeling in the pit of the stomach. The "fibers" appear to be pulling apart as it tries to forestall the oncoming conflagration (my interpretation). To me it conveys courage, pathos and nobility.
