re comments below: just wanted to say Rich made an initial comment that he later regretted for his own reasons and decided to apologize for it. I never took offense - the comment's particulars are not offensive to me - I did not complain about his comment, nor demand an apology. We're cool! :)

Beautiful overlay of rain. At least you are on the right side of the glass. (Like Rachel, I sympathise with the animals.)

it's always a decision how much sky to show, particularly when the sky is blown out. I think you made the right call.

I can never resist spatter shots. Pitter-patter shots. Can resist taking them, can't resist liking them. Thank you.

I always wonder how animals feel about the weather. We have a lot of cattle around here. How do they feel when their out grazing and a storm is approaching. I know it's a strange this to think about. Maybe it's because I see them every time I go anywhere. I see these cows more than I see my extended family...which is preferable really.

Interesting. This is another that, for me, has too much sky because of the square format.

This is a pretty cool effect and (imho) makes a pretty boring image not boring at all :)

I've apologized to Karen for leaving an inappropriate comment. It's wrong to hijack anyone's image like that, especially to indulge a political opinion. If I've offended anyone, I'm sorry.

As someone remarked on one of my pictures, well-spotted! :-)

OMG OMG OMG! We're being invaded by aqueous blobs from outer space!! And they have Spanish accents!!! "A fence? Haven't you been listening? We need a big beautiful dome over America, and those other states. Canadians keep out! Maybe a shower curtain and paper towels for Puerto Rico. With a really complicated tracking system that allows the sun to shine only on Republicans, which'll keep down costs. I call it the "Trump Thunder, Lightning, etc. Dome." Tip of the hat to Reince Priebus for the suggestion; he's the new greeter at the White House. Be afraid. Whoooooooo! Be very afraid!!!"
So. A perfect portrayal of a rainy day. Like in NYC today, too. Life certainly goes on, just wetter and grayer. The prominence of the raindrops, on glass, I presume, seems like dots on the bottom of exclamation points. I love the ground before the fence, the subtle beauty of browns and greens. Peaceful. It's just like looking out my window. Well, without the cars. buses and other buildings. And our beloved birch and dogwood.
Vote.
