A peek into the bee hive. Wonderful full frame image and I agree with Don's comment on your use of the square crop.

this challenge is giving me insights into square composition. because it's neither horizontal nor vertical, there is no dominant direction, and the eye is free to roam around the image. This picture takes full advantage of that, surprising us with a girl who looks up and just to the right of us. And then we notice a strong pull/push to the left. It's an image of pure rhythm.

Yes, the eyes go directly to the woman looking sideways and up. Immense puzzle. I find it frightening though, as crowds tend to be. The central sinuous dark shape formed by accident by people dressed in dark clothes is enhancing a possible menace.

WOW, so many stories in this image! I tried to count the people but kept losing count. I did count 6 balloons though. There is one women in a check shirt that seems to stand out from the crowd (though I might just be drawn to her eyes?)
