Love the delicate layers of glass jars. This a long glance while ambling down busy NY streets. |

on fridays, a half day, we used to ride our bicycles over to the next town just to go to Eddie's. in spring and fall when the weather was nice. we always wondered about the calligraphy, and if the sweets were really any better, but never came to any conclusion. |

I shoot so much black & white that I hardly ever look at or think about colour photographs. But this one arrested me because it looks so much like colour film. Those are Kodachrome colours. I love it. I was younger and more optimistic then, and it feels good to feel that feeling again. Thank you. |

font and fiction, ajar and open, pebbles and clouds, which is smoother?
this is what we do, write on the world,
no, we read the world and tell its story |

Lovely tones and light - the streaky glass is actually rather charming, makes it distinctive. |

There is some alchemy in the air here. I mind very much that on my screen I have to go up and down to see the entire image. |

Makes me feel curiously transparent. I don't like being exposed this way. Pay me no heed, I must be losing my marbles. |

Well, Eddie obviously pays his window cleaner peanuts! (streaks top left). This looks like a proper olde worlde sweet shop and I'd like to visit with my pocket money. |

Great colors. The clear decanters on the right are maybe my favorite thing. I would have cropped this one to a smaller square losing the bottom and some of the left - for me the lightest areas at the bottom dilute the impact. |
