You really are a brilliantly accomplished photographer. Having fiddled about with cameras for nearly 50 years, I still can't imagine how anyone can master the craft sufficiently to take photographs of this kind of difficult subject with such meticulous verity. I couldn't do it. Of course, I don't wish to either, but sometimes I wonder if I can't do it because I don't wish to, or I don't wish to because I can't do it. But I give myself the benefit of the doubt. Thank you. |

Awesome architecture! The details in the centres of the circles look a bit like someone tried to gild the lily. |

My eyesight is so bad now that I'd not have seen the detail in the ceiling if it wasn't for your picture so thanks :) My brain is trying to tell me that the ceiling is in fact the floor. |

Perfect subject, angle, perspective, composition for square crop - I really like this one. What happens if you flip it? |

Leads our eyes and thoughts upward which is what the builders wanted. |

I agree with Barbara about liking a bit more contrast with this sort of thing for my personal tastes, and could also be very effective in b&w. Nicely framed as is, but as I look longer at it I wonder if you could get more "movement" out of the composition if you put the middle of the leading column in the corner, rather than the left side of it - that would push the ceiling struts (?) at a diagonal to the square framing, rather than at a perpendicular, and coupled with the circular designs set the whole thing "turning". Might not have enough space in the original shot to do this, but it could be a interesting alternative comp. |

This is how a parasol looks to an ant. Interesting pattern on the ceiling, a celestial kaleidoscope. The red, white, blue and yellow medallions add an interesting counterpoint. |

back to architecture...feels like a giant stamp, square is really efficient here.
Maybe I'd like more contrast for my personal taste |
