After she baked pies and cooked with me for tonight's CHRISTmas dinner, she modeled for me before we wrapped presents together (our tradition).
SUCH a sweetheart of a daughter and friend I have!
I am blessed.
Yes, I know that the eyes are too high. But, it's an hour and a half left of CHRISTmas Day... and... I have no ambition to fix this. (fixed it later... *sigh*)
I hope you'll like it anyway!
Oh Dang! Two minutes before rollover... I'm rethinking and entering a different edit!
You're all going to say you don't like her left hand.
I think that this is the most fun at 4 votes that I've ever had! Thank you CHRISTmas voters!
I'm fairly confident that when folks awake tomorrow, that they won't be so generous. Dang it.
*grin*
But, I'm okay with that. Daughter and I had SO MUCH FUN!!
I did have an edit with some purple on the upper left... but missed it uploading by a few seconds. It would have been much better with purple somewhere else.
Darnsies.
I took a watercolor painting class once.
Oddly, it taught me a bunch about photography. Gotta keep the same colors in a bunch of places.

Yes, we had planned to use my hand. But, as Anita has pointed out, I have "man's hands". So, it was ugly and we improvised with her other one. It also made it easier to shoot.
Fun Fact: It was BW all along until, I think, ten minutes before rollover. I'd had a couple of glasses of wine and thought I'd try crazy. :D No one else was up for me to ask if it was a bad idea, and I went with it.
Wine'll do that to folks. :D
ETA (again):
Here's the original, as Mariuca suggested I post. Thanks, Mariuca, for reminding me.
Well done Lydia. And glad that you had great fun doing it and you also have a beautiful daughter. With a neck like hers you can explore more.
I think that it would be fair to give credit to the original photographer's idea, the way we have the "in the manner of" challenges unless we change dramatically the pov
How brave, a colored take on a B&W classic! Only Lydia would attempt such stunt. It looks quite good! Did you also try to use someone else's hand to hold the shard, like in the Apal'kin version? It could be fun, associated to your warm/cold color approach. Anyways, congrats on the well deserved ribbon, great one!
