This is great--i remember it really jumped out at me during voting! it is driving me a bit crazy trying to figure out exactly what you did tho--maybe a reflection of a mirror image thru a curved (wine?) glass? i dunno! very cool effect!
as far as the pic itself goes--i love the stark color scheme. the dark background really shows off the lighter tones of the cigarette. i wonder if the effect might have been more pronounced with a more solid background? i kinda feel like i am looking at a piece of construction paper. that might have worked with another subject, but i dont think it does justice to the patterns in the cigarette filter and paper. also, i think the uncenteredness is interesting, but i think a less tight crop on the top and bottom might do it more justice.
over all i like the general feel of the photograph. the lighting is very cool --i think the overexposed whites really set off the neat lens work (or however you did it!) nice work! :) |

This is a very interesting effect, but to me it doesn't make a very cool photo. The cigarette is very far to the left of the photo for no apparent reason... the negative space doesn't do much for the image. |

Neat effect! I'm wondering how you did this, but it's pretty cool! (Maybe a special mirror?) Focus is very sharp, very detailed shot. Interest is moderate to high, good humor! The left side is a tad bit over-exposed, but otherwise good lighting.

very creative, would have been neat with more than one cigarette. |
