returning for comments;
Beaitiful tones and quite a beauty of a fall. I am perplexed by the swirl amidst the serene sorrounding area. Anyway, bumping to 6 |

Image critique: unusual image - I can't recall having seen a whirlpool like this, so a great use of the slow shutter/ND. Composition is a bit busy, but difficult to avoid, although crouching down a bit may have got more falls and fewer twigs.
Out-of-challenge appeal: I really love the feel of this. |

I like this a lot. Seems like a pretty high degree of difficulty. It is probably an artifact of the long exposure that the surface of the water looks unreal ... surreal almost. Very interesting contrast between detail in the top of the photo and time smudged lack of detail in the bottom. Grass in lower left adds interesting counterpoint. Bumping the score. |

To me, this is an almost great shot. I think the big branch is a distraction. Also, there is lack of contrast for using B&W here. I think that focusing more on the water flow and the contrast of the white water over the black rocks would have made a more powerful image. 6. |

Nice whirlpool. Not sure how this illustrates time passing other than exposure time. Sharp, detailed, framed well. B&W/toning done tastefully. |
