Just a quick shot of a cop car. I know it is boring but i just had to use this thing for an open challenge. Let the dq request roll in baby. I used a lens baby and that is how I achived the blur. It is all in camera.

NIce effect, though it appears a little dull. Could use a bit more contrast or something.

Is someone driving the car? Or, am I drunk?

No blaring sirens or flashing lights? Otherwise artistically distinctive and appropriate for the challenge theme.

alternate title, "testing out camera in police parking lot." nice crisp colors.

This looks like a typical snapshot with some blurred edges. And I get how the bluriness ties with the title, but I find it a bit distracting.

WowIi wonder how you achieved this blur outside and sharp inside. I hope you stayed within the rules of editing? Or maybe you smuged your filter with fat ? :)
It's a 9 if you didn't cheat :P

The out of focus effect on the front and back of the car really messed that photo

I'd have rated this subject a 5 (not an unusal subject), but your approach was a lot of fun and quite original. Congrats on it! Bump

I'm not too keen on the blurred border.

This is a great example of facing authority exactly at the moment you least need it. I like the blur at the sides. Did you use a lens the wrong way round? Suggestion: shooting through the bottom of a beer glass creates a similar effect, plus some distortion.

interesting take on the challenge, though i would image the blur to be a little stronger after 12...lol. good luck!

Well, if ever there was a good use of a really bad lens on an SLR, this is it. :) Cute.

Well, i like the lens effect, but two empty (?) police cars make up for a pretty poor subject. The title doesn't save this, although it is clever. sorry.
