Looks like a noble woman. You can see the wisdom of age. Looks fragile but not frail. Nice. |

Lighting is a little harsh, but a good portrait otherwise. Nicely composed. What does it look like in black & white? |

Nice job. I like the lighting and the angle. The only thing that bothers me is the glare from the light on her glasses. |

beautiful portrait of a beautiful woman. great use of negative space. would suggest that you might want to completely take out the details in the negative space before delivering a final print. this is an exquisite piece of work. don't know if you shot it with the challenge in mind, but the angle really adds to the impact. good luck. |

I like the way this seems like a picture of a person instead of an old woman. Nice illustration of the connection between dignity and authority. The detail comtributes to the beauty of the person and the portrait. |

By chosing to capture her from below you wanted to show her dominant position. That's good. I think if the light came from below, too, that would have emphasized this impression. |

very nice idea, I like the setup, though I would have taken care to put some sort of black backdrop behind her. That light in her glasses is distracting as well. |

very beautiful photo! The lighting is placed well and really brings out the lines on her face. It is kind of an extreme enterpration of the challenge but overall I think this photo is going to be top 10 |

Good use of negative space. Good lighting, except for the glare on the glasses. |

The reflection on the glasses kind of takes away something from the photo. |

Great angle. Great expression on your subject's face. I like that she is looking to the future, almost seeing her future generations. I see pride and determination in this woman's face. The only flaw I see is the glare on her glasses. I know that is so hard to get rid of, but it really does distract from her face. Nice thought out. Powerful image. |
