Greetings from the Critique Club };-)
Initial thoughts
Just my luck to critique your shot two weeks in a row! I wonder what it is, meets the challenge, seems a bit over sharpened.
Composition/ Content
I looked at this quite a few times and never really figured out what I was looking at until I read your notes. I think that this certainly has "Rhythm" but somehow missed the boat a bit. I like the contrast and the lighting but I think the refelecitons in the heads of the nails take away from the overall shot even as an abstract.
Camera Work - Technical
The thing I like best about the shot is the way you sank some of the nails to make a valley of shadow. It works well the way it runs from the top left corner but it does take away some of the focus in the shadows.
Digital Processing - Technical
I can't tell whether this is a bit over sharpened or whether it is just the glare from the lights in the nail heads. Either way it has a rather grainy feel to it. I'm not sure if that was the intention but I think it is a little distracting.

Fits the challenge well.
My Opinion On The Photo
I think you took a shot of a pretty tough subject. It has a rhythmic feel to it but there are too many other things going on in the shot to really impart that. Good shot but perhaps not one of your best that we've come to expect!

| This is rhythm for sure although I don't really see what it is, I hope you explain it in your description! It looks very frosty for some reason, maybe a little too dark on the right but I guess if you had made it any lighter the left side would have blown out too much. |

| I like the rough feel of this photo. B&W helps that feel, and it looks great. I sugegst you put a single black pixel between your white border and your image, just to separate the white bits of the photo around teh edge, from the border. |

| Very interesting abstract shot. are they pin heads? I like the tones. I find that grainy look works well here. Good luck. |

| seems to be over processed... but a really great idea... try toning the photoshopping down a bit... not necessary, but maybe throwing in something in the center with a single color to draw the viewers attention |
