Composition - Very cool abstract of a lamp. The symmetry of it works well for this photo. Its very yellow so it meets the challenge. The background has awesome color. Very well done. I don't think I'd change a thing.
Technical - Great DOF of this shot and perfect exposure. The subject is very clear and sharp. This is extremely well done. I'm guessing you set the white balance to fluorescent as I've done the same thing and gotten blue backgrounds out of what was once brown. Very nice idea with this shot.
Overall - I am surprised this didn't finish any higher than it did. It is a remarkable example of making a nice photo with simple things around the house. Nice job!! Good luck in the upcoming challenges. - Inspzil |

| Thank you all for you nice comments, the photo is more or less strait out of the cameram, i set the white ballance on the camera therefor the blue/purple background, that is normally totaly white. just a little noice reduction applyed. |

This is a very simple, but very effective image. I like the shapes and the lighting is very fun. I'd be interested to see the original file to see how much post processing was required to get this version. Nicely done... 9

| The yellow and the blue/purple work great together, and I really like the gradient. The slightly soft focus looks very effective too! |

| Wonderful colors, what a cool contrast! The light is just bright enough so that it doesn't blow out the photo. The way you have the bottom part of the image fading into darkness gives it that extra boost. |

| Very well done. I think ths is of a quality good enough to go to print. Colours are nice and flat, compoisition is perfect and it is an interesting photo. I can genuinely see this in a magazine for a lighting company. It has a real "is this a photo or a computer rendering" feel to it. Well done. |

| Nice illustration for this challenge. The blue is a nice contrast to the yellow. Although it is a common subject, you've approached it almost abstractly and made a very nice composition! |

| Nice abstract - simple, but highly impressive! According to my experience not the best choice for the DPC, but personally I like it. Perhaps I would have rotated it a little bit. Beautiful corona around the lampshade! |
