Certainly fallen ;)

-----
Someone even gave this 1. They must be a believer of old-fashioned "taken in the camera" and untouched by any editing photography. And ironically impressionism in painting came about because of photography! The artists did not want their paintings to look realistic like photos.

Thanks, Sandy, for your comments :)

The reason being that I don't see any mention under standard editing of being allowed to use any feature of image processing software to manipulate/enhance the images in your submission. That is allowed under Extended editing though. If I misinterpreted the rules please enlighten me.

I have submitted a similar image to the SC with this question. After some deliberations they allowed it. The rules are much more relaxed now and I personally am very much in favour.

PS I am surprised that your vote was about the rules and not the image :(

Well then I really don't understand why the rules are there in the first place if they are not implemented. Might as well do away with the rules completely then imo.
My vote was not only based on the rules only thing....if it had been Extended Editing I would have voted a 7. In other words I deducted 4 points for the breaking of the rule. I wanted to deduct half of 7 but as you cannot vote half points I had. to decide on deducting a 3 or a 4.

In my opinion the only rule that was broken here is one of the voting rules:

You should:

recommend an entry be reviewed for disqualification if you feel it violates any rule. To do this, use the "here if you suspect a rules violation". link on the image's voting page, and give your reason in the space provided. After submitting your requests, vote assuming the entry did not violate any rules.

Edit: sorry I just noted this is already being discussed in a thread...

This is truly exquisite. And I'm not usually a huge fan of flower photos, but this is true art. I'm not voting because I never vote on challenges I'm in, but I just had to comment on how excellent this is!
