My interpretation of low key is that there would be a specific area of the image highlighted rather than the wider area in this image. Seems a bit light for what I was expecting.

This seems like it could be an interesting photo, but I get the feeling that it was made black and white to make it low key and not for aesthetic reasons. I want to like it, and it seems like it might be interesting in color, but falls flat for me here.
