 This is the blade used on the grader that keeps our roads usable in winter. Cuts grooves in the icy roads making them safer to travel on. You wouldn't want to land in our ditches.

Betty - I gave this photo an 8. I honestly thought it was Kendall's work as he's in construction and in snowy territory, but that didn't affect the score I gave. The focus and color are impeccable! I love gradiated blue skies! A small nit - the subject, per the title, is not yellow, but is attached to a very yellow vehicle. The cropping seems a little tightly forced, but the subject is well displayed. ChrisW and sparky gave decent comments, interest isn't univerally high (totally hard thing to do!!) On the other hand, wishing the snow was cleaner fits into the catagory I call "Moon and Sky" - i.e. if I had a perfect world, this would be "do-able".

It's not a very interesting subject, BUT, it's a pretty good picture anyway. The only improvement would have been to show a little bit more of the top of the roof of the machine (ie. about 1/2 of sky).

Nice composition in this shot. The only thing I might have changed would be to include all of the piston at the top. Also, it would have been nice if the snow under the left edge of the blade was white like everywhere else. Exposure and lighting are very good though. Also, your focus and depth of field are good.
