 Took a minor miracle to pull this off. Scrambled to get set up before sunset faded. Discovered that tripod was too high at its lowest to get shot, so removed camera and hand-held, lying on stomach. Never thought it would come out, since dof required small aperture - f20, which necessitated long (for hand-held) exposure - 1/5 sec.

This is really cool. I like the silhouettes, and the line of the stars is engaging. A slightly different composition would work better for me, maybe the stars farther left in the frame. And more ground with a bit less on top so it can play the rule of thirds game. Gorgeous shot though.

I like the composition (slanted horizon and all). Stark silhouette is nice. Good use of implied lines. Sunsets usually do well here and this is a nice one. I am generally not a fan of borders but this one works well because of the dimension of it and the color. Well done.

trees are distracting otherwise v nice---maybe get closer and angle up to isolate the stars against the sky?

beautiful, but feels a little too manipulated. the strong yellow takes away from the shot in my opinion. really nice though.
