 A bit of a last minute hunt for the free study. Found an owl sanctuary that takes in injured wild birds or tamed ones that can no longer be looked after by their owners. Wild birds that recover are released back into their natural habitat. Others are re-homed or stay at the sanctuary. Photography was pretty limited- the sanctuary looks after some birds that are the subject of criminal investigations. Very sad. Anyway, Molly was very happy! I think she's an American barn owl (should have paid more attention) that has been hand reared so will never be released.

never would have picked this one for yours .. its BRILLIANT .. and some of the ones that beat you .. defies logic ..
i gave you an 8 btw .. as this to me is wonderful shot .. you should have been up there with the other two amigos .. :)

ps .. have you seen pics of owls standing with their feather's pulled up .. absolutely hilarious .. never what you would expect .. well nothing what i would have expected ..

i went and looked so i could share with you .. altho seeing you have an owl pic in this challenge you probably know already ..
