 When promoters buy land to build new buildings, they have to sometimes handle a stubborn family member who asks an astronomical sum of money for a tiny piece of land. This is what happened here and legally they cannot torn it down. So they will just incorporate it inside the new building(incapsulate it in between 4 walls and leave an access to the front door
(the law does not mention they have to leave window view or to have an open sky. In other words, the owner is checkmated.
