Hi Nikki. Thank you for passing on the lovely comments. Actors?! Lol, no. You are partially correct; the girl is mine, the young fella is hers. And the clothing is stuff they had in their wardrobes and would wear normally. Pretty darn cool kids I reckon.

I don't usually post contest results from here, but this time I posted my 4th place win to my Facebook page because the story about my husband agreeing to go outside in our neighborhood and "lurk" was a little funny. I also posted a link to the contest results because I wanted people to see how stiff the competition was at the top. They were duly impressed with both yours and the red - especially yours. Now my daughter-in-law writes: "So Rob and I both had a good laugh imagining you making David go outside at 9:00 dressed in a costume and pretending to smoke. And you are right, that is some very stiff competition! The picture that won? Wow! Does that person just happen to have friends or family that look like 40̢۪s gangsters or did they hire actors?!?"
I thought these might be your kids, but I told her I'd ask.

Hi Lydia!
The reflection must be a matter of physics, because I sure didn't change anything there about the angles. He was holding the gun out from his leg/foot, so it must be the perspective making it look close to his leg in 'real life'. Thanks for the comment on the lighting as I consider myself completely shit at it and it's an area I am consciously working on. Cheers.

And thanks everyone for the comments and votes. :)

Beautifully executed. Very nicely done. A single vote below 6, and I am not sure what they were thinking.
