 I went out one morning to shoot for this challenge. I had this lighthouse in mind, but just as I got the drone in position and fired off a couple of shots, a park security guard walked by and told me I couldn't fly a drone there. I got a usable shot, but I really would have liked to played around with different perspectives and altitudes. I think I might have been able to improve on it. Unfortunately, it is a long way out and I am not sure I can effectively reach it when I am outside the park. But, I may try another day.

Is this the lighthouse near downtown Chicago? Too bad you got chased off, but I guess that's going to be common for some of the best areas to use it in. I'd love to get some pics of this lighthouse frozen over sometime.

Hoping to give you some competition with the drone shots soon. Thanks all for the advice.

Very cool viewpoint. I like the texture of the water. I kind of like it when I scroll up to crop out the horizon. It makes it more like a panorama and accentuates the negative space, the ripples in the water and draws my eye more to the lighthouse. Still a very good picture.

Striking in it's simplicity...bland sky works nicely here in offsetting the rest of the image
