 I had the opportunity to take a portrait shot of these two students. This was done in studio with strobe lighting. It was shot with a Tamron 35-150mm lens.

I agree - I thought a light in the background would have been a real distraction.

Yup, Renaissance style it is and an excellent before and after shot. I know lots of people 'think' there should be a good seperation between background and hair but this shot obviously doesn't need it.

Thank you - the girl on the right had quite a few blemishes but in total her skin was almost porcelain like so I diced to smooth it out and get rid of the imperfections.

Both versions are beautiful and bring to mind Renaissance painting. The 'cosmetic surgery' on the girl on the right (of the picture) was probably not necessary. Top 3.
