Brilliant! The forceful lines, especially the vertical, section off the becoming, sinuous grain. Then, against this bizarre graph, out of a barrel planter, draped in what looks like ear buds, pops stony Uncle Bob, befuddled yet implacable. It's surreal in an intimate, almost natural way, unlike so much surrealism that depends on visual fireworks. Further adding to the disconjunction is the sense that Uncle Bob is a sea creature, head "bobbing" out of the ocean, wreathed in seaweed. Uncle Bob, you're a corker! The black and white treatment is perfect, sharp and moody. The subtle composition is quite satisfying.
Personally, I've been too busy to comment much at all, but it's a pleasure to express appreciation for this startling, vivid image. |

i'm not sure which superstition uncle bob didnt believe in to end up like he did ..
but BRILLIANT Margaret .
and not one comment ..
i really cant give 7 and over and not comment ..
i always want to share my impressions of the image .. if its awesome of course .. lol .. but its like a gift to the person who took the trouble to enter the challenge .. and the feedback is always so good to hear .. and usually appreciated .. i hope . !! .. ;)
and part of the reason i havent been making comments when i've been wanting to lately is because my internet is so slow it can take between three to seven seconds to load .. approx .. !! .. ;) |
