 getting the focus where you want it with a moving subject .. at such shallow dof .. is quite a challenge ..
i wasnt totally happy that the focus wasnt on his head .. but the droplet under him was totally focused which makes up for it .. in fact it could be better that way ..
would be great to focus stack but of course impossible because he's moving ...
hope this does well .. never can tell .. ;)


ps .. after rollover ..
i just cant get my head around how nearly every image i have in voting drops significantly in the last day ..
this one dropped from 6.4 yesterday to 6.2 today .. and a lot of that drop was in the last three or four hours ..

This is so good! The bokeh background and beautiful mix of colors are so pretty! Only you could make a bug look so delightfully gorgeous!!

And... I share your frustration about the pattern of votes dropping so steeply at the end. Last night, literally a few hours before rollover, my image was at 7.33, and ended up barely over 7.1. Must be people who wait till the very end to vote down the competition? Sometimes, my vote drops with no new votes being added, so those are obviously votes that are being lowered by someone who had earlier given a better score. :(
