| I find the placemat a bit distracting in this. I do like the bowl/rice/chopsticks and think they make a good composition. Would have preferred a plain background though. |

| I might have preferred this with the blue of the bowl a little more muted, to match the relatively cool feel of the photo. |

| Great idea! You might have taken the shot from right above, or cropped away the border of the yellow/violet surface. Nice, simple shot, very striking. Good contrast, might be sharpened a little. Good job. 8. |

| Excellent use of frame within a frame. I might have positioned the bowl a bit more centered, but it's not overly distracting. I'd love to see this reshot with a nice set of chopsticks (mayve red?) and carefully measured out. This is a very cool shot! 9 |

| Closer framing would have been better, difference between the two backgrounds doesn't fit in. Like the composition though... |

| Well done! The eyes wanders naturally with the light to the tiny grains in the center from the sticks and reflections of the bowl. I love the colors and texture. I wonder whatit would have looked like if you put the camera even more straight downwards tilting and forward so that you could have done a more straight crop on the table. And also maybe try a softer light on the sticks. GJ |
