 Feral cats lived in the rocks of the breakwater. There were people, usually elderly, who would come by and feed them. The whole scene felt very foreign to me and yet familiar.

looking at the image, the attention draws to the ship, not the cats. Could you have gone lower and closer to draw attention to the cats? Also, the image is tilted.
