Great title. How did I miss this? Nice honest image. Nothing fancy - you didn't need it. It is composed well. It might be fun to due a single color saturation with just a green shutter and the rest Black and White.

ha ha love this picture! it's so funny but I can imagine it working well, unlike the neighbours I have who stand at their door and shout MEGAN! at the top of their lungs...
anyway,I am currently off work with a very sore throat, went to the docs and she's given me lovely tablets to take... how's work (",)

I don't find myself challenged at all to see a link to the technology. We carry cels and pagers around everyday, even land phones for communication. This is an excellent example of low tech communication. The subjects are well framed and balance each other in height because of a good selection of shooting angle. The disrepair of the home adds an element to the age of the bell, but the bell itself seems a bit over de-noised. Like it has weathered time much more successfully than the home. This seems a bit out of place. Nice shot overall, not a glamour shot, but definitely fitting the challenge and well executed.

Beautiful shot and EXCELLENT title! I like the colors - interestingly, I don't even think this would be as good in BW. I think you nailed my top pick so far. Great job.

Good title, original idea. The overall shot might have benefited from a tighter crop as the focal point appears to be the house rather than the bell.

A very nice authentic litle landmark. I would have cropped tighter on the right right to about 25 percent of the pole to avoid the electric line and the branch as ir detracts. otherwise a very nice shot. Of course, a real close up of the bell would have made it a stronger contender in my opinion. 6

Good subject. I wish it were more interesting to the viewer though. The bell is the subject but it isn't in very good focus.

The poles that hold the bell seem a bit soft focused.

Seems a bit oversharpened (pump, bell). The sky is noisy too.

Awesome composition needing very little fine tunning. The subject matter and title are very appropriate for the challenge..had to give you a 10..something I am finding I am very stingy with.
