To pull off a challenge interpretation like this, you need to produce a striking, technically perfect image. This one comes close, but has too many minor flaws: the weird light-gray shape sticking up and left from the nose, the almost centered composition (either make it centered or more off-center), and I would personally have preferred the DOF to include the whole face. |

You get a point for humor. Good focus on the landmark but I think a bit more DoF would also help. For example, the eye lashes would be cool if they were nice and sharp. It would also work better as a verical with quite a bit cropped off bioth the roight and left sides. Nice tonal range - good strong blacks and close to a very bright white. |

While this is a somewhat creative approach, I just can't make the stretch. It has no asthetic appeal in my opinion. |

Interesting take on the 'landmark' challenge. I don't think it fits well in this challenge and focus is soft. Not a bad picture but does have several distractions. One is the background to the left and above the nose. I think it would of been better if you could of achieved a deeper dof. Good use of B&W. Wish you the best in this challenge. |

Bold and daring idea, but in my opinion still a bit out of place. |

Unique take on this challenge. The posterization on the neck detracts slightly from this shot. I think if you had blacked it out altogether with a simple post-processing edit, the image would have substantially more impact. |

Contrast is great. Lighting is excellent. Subject is fairly interesting, but a little too much negative space. |

Quite the unique perspective, but then that's what it's about isn't it? Trying to find a unique way of showing something we've all seen before. |

That is just an odd looking photo at that angle. Points for creativity. |
