 My first try using my new Kenko extension tubes. Put a large sheet of white paper onto a table, camera on a tripod next to it, all extension tubes (12+20+36mm) and my 70-200mm f/4 L lens on the other end. Tried some different setups, different combinations of tubes and f-stops to change the dof. You get very narrow dof with these things, I tried stopping the lens down to f/32 and the corn in the upper left corner was still out of focus!

Did a few ones with cheerios rings as well and had a hard time choosing what to enter, hope the very narrow dof doesn't hurt people's eyes....

Post processing:
-Resize
-Sharpen
-Levels (auto levels worked out best this time)

I like the fact that one peppercorn is in focus, but it detracts a bit from the image as a whole. Perhaps a more symmetrical pattern would be interesting also?

Pepper is nice idea... but i would putted focus on all of them because they are real interesting shape. And maybe white surface is bit too big contrast.

i really like this one, but one nit... i wish the foreground corns didn't obstruct the view of the central focused corn. nice lighting and shadows.
