I like how you've provided both image and commentary. The buildings, and the perspective you've established, offer a Mondrian-esque scene. The shapes, like a puzzle being solved, and the bright colors delight the eye. It's also neat how the shadows and reflections are reminders of a surrounding context. The signs on the fence anchor and inform the photograph. Their cautionary, warning nature serve dual purposes. Stay away from the site as it's dangerous. Also, stay away from art, likewise dangerous and problematic. A nice, slippery conjunction.

| this photo is under construction. the telephone pole is not available yet. for now, you must make do with a shadow and a reflection. We really must apologize for your fractured view. we're working on it, you can count on that. Be comforted by the large number of signs to that effect. What is photography, after all, besides signs? And here we are on this funny site talking about how lovely the signs are. Sometimes we miss the moon for the finger. But we're working on it. Soon we'll have it all pulled together. But if you look now, maybe you'll see some of that beautiful glue. |
